September 26th, 2015 – Gros Morne NP, NL Canada –  The Tablelands is worth a visit.  This area of Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland is a bronze barren section of the earth’s mantle left exposed as tectonic plates have drifted.  The relative lack of vegetation and the unusual color make it feel otherworldly.

July 18, 2015 – Exit Glacier, Alaska – Easy day hike to Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park.  Bright blue sky contrasted with lush green vegetation and recently scoured bedrock.  Sparkling water and blue/white ice under the bright sun.

Dalton Under the Midnight Sun
